We miss you grandma
Yesterday would have been my grandma's 97th birthday and i thought i write a few of my memories of her.
I REMEMBER...
when she would always ask if it was raining outside.
when she would always ask what you brought her if you walked in the house with plastic bags
when she would ask for a little swallow of your soda so she could burp
when she would try and feed the dogs her left overs behind our back
how she would let me sit in her lap and she would just rock me
how she always asked me if i had clean underwear on in case i got in accident
how she would always be the first to crack a joke
how strong she was
how much she loved her husband and never looked at an other man after he died
how she loved to be out side playing in all her plants
what a good cook she was
how much she taught me
how much she loved me
how she would cheat at any game we would play
how funny she was
her laugh
her smile
her spirit
how she would never let you say goodbye, it was always so long. cause goodbye means you are never coming back
Grandma i know it was not goodbye when you left. I know that we will be together again. I feel so blessed to have the gospel in my life and for the knowledge i have. I feel so blessed to know that through our heavenly Fathers plan families can be together forever and that we will be with our loved ones again some day. I know that you are in a better place and that it is so much better there than it is here. I know you are happy and i want you to know that there is not a day goes by that i dont think of your beautiful smiling face. I miss you so much. I love you with my whole heart. I know the time is not far away till we are together again. so long till we meet again.

Girl, what a great post about Grandma! I love the list that you made about her. Do you know that I never even met Grandma? Just talked to her on the phone a handful of times. What a fun lady she was!
ReplyDeleteI totally just got choked up reading that. I bearly knew her, but she really was the cutest thing I've ever seen. I'll dig through my art and find that picture I did of her and give it to you guys.
ReplyDeleteI remember... your love for her, and her amazing singing ;) Eternity is not so far away. Love ya Kaitlyn
